A great sweater
Great sweater, started 8 Jan 05 finished 20 Jan 05
Pattern: Stitch n Bitch Big Sack sweater

This has turned out to be a fantastic sweater. I wear it all the time, and I'd wear it more if I could. It's warm and cozy but not too 'hot' (it's knit in Rowanspun Chunky in Blue Haze), and it's pleasingly both rugged and elegant. When I was knitting it up the fabric felt quite rigid and bulky, but with blocking in the wondrous lavender wool bath, it is now soft and drapey. It's enough to make me look forward to the cold snap that the weather people are predicting for the coming week.

It's gorgeous!! That's one of those sweaters I always look at making and am never sure it will look ok on - now I see how great it is! :)

Oooh very nice, I like it very much :) I can't wait to get a look at the first Stitch n' Bitch book, I'm going to borrow it on interlibrary loan.

Your sweater looks wonderful and one I'm sure you'll wear a lot. A 2 week sweater - what a speedy knitter you are!

Love the sweater! I've been debating whether or not to cast that one on. Your's is actually more attactive than the picture they've got in the book where the model is tugging on the corner of it...I think you've convinced me...it looks like just the thing for banging around on the weekend - it was freezing here in Canada yesterday so I'm in the mood to knit something really cozy.

Nice! I have wanted to make one of those too. I even purchase the yarn for it. Glad to see that you made it and you love it. Now I will just have to actually do this.
