Gone to Canada, back soon

The bad news is, I didn't finish Hilde. I threw a tantrum when I found the sleeve head mysteriously two inches wider than the sleeve opening, and anyway, I had run out of black yarn to seam in. I cast her aside in disgust. Having calmed down, I now think the seam will be OK: but she'll have to wait for my return.

The good news is, I finished my wild duck socks, and made a very quick hat. Darling Husband says I look like 'a hoser' in it. I don't know what a hoser is so I've decided to take it as a compliment. No pics, because I have to pack.

So now, just as I've got into my blogging stride and made a couple of friends (hey, it doesn't come easy to a girl) I have to go away. Don't forget me while I'm gone, I'll be back in a week.

hee hee! Is your husband Canadian?? "Hoser" is some VERY Canadian comedy - the MacKenzie brothers from SCTV. Very cute. :-) I hope you're having a great trip and I'll definitely be looking forward to you getting back!

Hi Anna!
Just wanted to let you know that your socks are on their way! Mailed a bit later than I'd hoped (somehow I had the idea in my brain to MAIL them on the 15th) but hopefully they'll greet you when you get back home!

I hope you have a great time on your Canada trip. I agree "a hoser" can only be a compliment, since I'm sure your hat looks great! Love your wild duck socks -- there are on my sock wishlist, right under the pom-pom socks.
