Is she pretty?

When we were staying in Toronto, the son of the couple we visited, who is 5, was very unsure of what is funny so would ask all the time, 'Is that funny Dad? Is it funny?'

So this is Sally.

She wont look anything like this when she's finished. As you can see I haven't decided what to do with the lower edge of the body, the neckline is wrong, and the sleeve length is wrong (but fixed since this pic was taken). But what you are looking at here is the sleeve - see how it fits in the hole! And how the stripes line up! Only my second attempt: thank heaven for Jenna's article on Knitty, and to-scale graph paper (thank you Honey).

I am diggin' the stripey sweater!! Is it light pink and orange...or white and orange? I have been wanting to make a striped sweater...hmmm...I can't wait to see the finished product! So I'm thinking that you really like stripes...striped socks, striped sweater. I'm sensing a theme here!

Wow, those sleeves are amazing! I was just feeling very pleased with myself for redesigning some sleeves on a sweater--but I didn't have to worry about hard things like set-in sleeves and lining up stripes. Very impressive! And the colors are cute too.

Not long ago you said your goal was to design something that someone else would want to knit and so far so good!! I am REALLY loving the stripes and the style of the sweater. Depending on the colors you choose or even on the pants you pair it with, this sweater could go from office dress to casual wear and back again. You designed that and it's gorgeous. You must be on the verge of exploding!! I certainly would be...
