How many hours in a day?

Only 24 - not a single one more, or less.

I am behind with email, but I have emailed more recently than I have blogged, or knitted, so here I am. Soon it will be the weekend. It is painful to every fibre of my being that I am not currently at the Liberty sale at their cardholder's pre-sale event, but I resisted. There is nothing like a meeting with one's financial advisor to focus the mind. And besides, do I really need more yarn? I mean do I? With friends like these?

Mrs Pilkington whose turtle is so groovy (and you know, I wouldn't say that about just anyone), was selling some stuff on her site and I was able to bag my very own set of Denises! One can only admire the inventors. Also, a book, Drafting Made Easy, which alas didn't make it into the picture because it is being pressed into service. I like the attitude of any book with 'made easy' in the title. And Silky Wool in a beautiful denim blue. I think this will become a very long skinny scarf, a la my current muse, Mick Jagger.

Jacqueline is just this wonderful, magnetic personality, so warm and loving. I can't wait to meet her. She has sent me such beautiful yarn... we're discussing what it will become... more details soon! What I do know is that I'm going to have to get myself a copy of Scarf Style. When I saw Kris's turtleneck shrug I knew I had to have one.

Sunshine, showers... it's perfect growing weather. Something took root and has started to grow.

Limeleaf Kiri, started 23 June 05
Pattern: Polly's Kiri

I am really enjoying this. It's so satisfying making the little leaves stack up, the pattern is easy to memorise, the green is absolutely Kermit, and it feels just right for summer. And, the yarn was ridiculously cheap. Always good, never bad.

Finally.

From our own tree: it's first crop since we planted it five years ago. Aren't they beautiful?! Our first dear cat Tricky is buried under the boughs of this tree, but you mustn't let that put you off. And you know, if you think of them as lemons, they're really quite sweet.

I love you Kiri in Kermit...what type of yarn are you using....or I should say what brand and all that??

I just hopped over to the Liberty site and I applaud your restraint...plus I couldn't purchase online so that was a good thing for me...their things look wonderful. I love the limeleaf Kiri and the cherries and cherry tree...what a wonderful way to remember your special loved one... Take care.

Oh my! This post has a little something for everyone! I love the cherries, shawl and liberty! I await with bated breath your report on the denise needles. I am curious about them... very... and could it really be true that I will never need to buy another needle again?

I'm jealous about the home-grown cherries, too, but I'm chuckling at the "think of them as lemons" comment. And, a sale at Liberty's? Why, oh why am I 3000 miles away??

Your own cherry tree--the luxury! I am envious. Do report on the Denises--I want to know what you think. I am attached to bamboo needles mostly, but I like the thought of always having the needles I need for any project.

i am very attracted to the kiri shawl at the moment, and seeing yours didn't help at all! gorgeous!

i stumbled upon the liberty sale once, just before i got back into knitting. silly me bought a lousy four balls of handknit dk (that wasn't even on sale) and left. it hurts just thinking about it now.

The red of the cherries and the lime of the shawl are wonderful together. I love the way the Kiri has real texture. And how come the birds didn't get the cherries first - what are your scare tectics? Wise decision about Liberty - I avoided it, too, knowing I would come home with something I never wanted but felt I should buy because of the price.

Denises!! Hope I can get one for myself too ;) Love your green Kiri, I'm sure I'll see it turns too a gorgeous FO soon, knowing your speed. And you actually own a cherry tree?? I'm drooling...they look so yummy...I want some cherry pies...

I love my Denise needles and use them a lot, hopefully you will find them useful. I'm trying not to think about the Liberty sale - must remain frugal! Your Kiri is looking wonderful, a very vibrant colour.

Your cherries are beautiful...and home grown at that. Must be the kitty. Looking forward to seeing your Mick Jagger scarf. You can't go wrong with Mick as an inspiration.

Nice yarn choice for the Kiri shawl! I bet it will be super cute as a summer cover up.

Aren't you lucky to have your own homegrown cherries. I have been eating so many of them, that I think I've turned into one! :-)

I LOVE your kiri shawl. Such a fun summery color!!!

Ooooh! The contrast of the green with the cherries is yummy! Kiri looks wonderful!

Wow - so many things to comment on... You must be so excited about your course - that sounds like the perfect way to spend a week and I'm expecting a flurry of new designs for the Amelia Raitte collection!! The cherries...yum! The kiri shawl - so so kermit - I love it!

Your Limeleaf Kiri looks beautiful - as do the cherries. I'm very impressed by both!

ok, how do you manage to get fruit off your tees? The squirrels made off with all the apples and plums. My trees (all 3 of them) were picked cleaned. I'm so annoyed that I'm thinking of getting a tiger!

I wasn't able to leave a comment on your April 3rd post, so I'm doing it here. I would love it if you could send me the pdf chart of the altered neckline on the NBaT. I'm also making the size 36. Thanks so much.
