Oh but that's not all
That was just the start of it. There's these too.
Grumperina's Tivoli, started 18 June

This is using up the leftovers from Sgt Pepper nicely. And there should be just enough red to make a bias edge (scroll down a bit) if the neck is rolling very badly. I thought of a crochet edge but in such a contrasting colour I doubt I could get a really neat finish. I'll finish the knitting today I expect, and hope to be wearing it next week.
Next up is Rita
Rita bag, started 15 June
Pattern: Mason Dixon buttonhole bag

This bag is going to be teeny! Notice the centre-pull balls: the yellow one was wrapped round a loo-roll which worked brilliantly. I've hardly used any yarn at all so far so I imagine I'll be making a few of these.
And there's what I should be working on, my design, my Debbie Bliss inspired summer cardi.

I'm feeling a little uninspired here. She was put on hold while I finished Sgt Pepper, and then we got a heatwave, and it still feels a bit warm to be working with angora. Maybe this weekend.
Finally, I've reached the sad conclusion that Land Girl is destined to be undone. I love the lace pattern, but the more I think the more I realise that this is just not a garment I will wear. I only wish I had considered the seriousness of this reality before I had knit both the front and back.

I must try that Tivoli...can't wait to see yours modeled...you have such wonderful projects in process (I know I always say that, but it's TRUE).

Seems like you're on a knitting high. Tivoli is also on my (rather long) wishlist. It's looking good!

You have some fabulous projects going! Can't wait to see your debbie bliss inspired cardigan...Love her designs. So sad about Landgirl...but I'm sure you'll find another design you'll wear to use that yarn for!

Ok what teeny tiny things can you put in your Rita bag? Lip gloss and she's off whereas me, I need everything but the kitchen sink somedays! Think positive with Land Girl at least you realised before seaming. I'm sure you'll find something delightful and it's such a gorgeous colour too.

Look at you zipping along on that Tivoli--I really do need to learn to knit faster. It will be lovely. Maybe if it turns out well you could do a second out of the Land Girl yarn. I know houw you feel about that--I love all the patterns in Vintage Knits, but I know in my heart I would just never wear them.

Your picture of the Land Girl sweater makes it look just divine. I do love that book, it makes me want to dress all girly and 40's with cute skirts and adorable heels. That lasts so long when all I want to wear is shorts and flip flops.

Hi there, I am knitting Tivoli too. I have the same worry that the neck would roll ... but it turns out okay ... maybe because of the yarn I am using. I'd like to see how yours turn out ... black is good!

I love your photostyling- the red on your Tivoli looks like a flower. And all your projects! I think I have OCD and can only do one thing at a time. Ah well.

i am going to start a tivoli...what do you think about doing a row of a rib to make it sit flat...just one row? maybe it won't roll when it is on...
