So long
It’s been so long... food poisoning really kills a girl’s will to write, and then the domain was down for a couple of days. Things seem to be getting back on an even keel (those sound like famous last words) and I’ve some catching up to do: let me show you one of my favourite recent FOs.

Yarn: RYC Cashsoft DK
After some tweaking (the first attempt at the neckline was far too wide), it takes all my ingenuity to come up with anything else to wear. It’s a DK yarn, but I knit it at an aran guage, and it’s made a fine, drapy fabric which is perfect for this alarmingly mild autumn.
I like the buttons best of all. From left to right, Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddleduck and Tom Kitten. This was also my first attempt at a tubular cast-on (this is a progress pic I never got around to posting).
Ah the pictures. Despite what I may have said previously, it turns out that when one is tired, it is possible to take 60 pictures and find not a flattering one. I don‘t care though, because I do love this jumper.

I L-O-V-E it! It looks so comfortable and is still quite flatterning. The buttons are a wonderful touch. Congrats--it is fab!

This is a lovely knit! Despite the fact that you did look tired, you looked very good in this. I love tubular cast on ... it makes very neat edge.Food poisoning? Sorry to hear about that ... I suppose you're getting better, right? Best wishes!

That is such a lovely sweater. I'v enever tried a tubular cast-on or even knit in the round, so I most definitely admire your skill; and the fact that you designed it yourself!

I love the sweater and the buttons are definately the icing on the cake -- it's all in the details, isn't it! It looks like an instant classic, one you'll be wearing for a long time.

It's smashing! It looks so comfy - and the buttons are truely ace. My mum knit me a cardi when I was little with very similar buttons on it - dead cute :)

I think you and the sweater are fab looking! My Mum used those buttons on something she knit my little sister when she was a small child!

You are really, really good at this. ;-) I particularly like way you've tipped all the edges with an ever-so-slightly contrasting shade. It's a lovely, subtle touch.

Love the raglan! My fave parts are the buttons (Ive been wanting a sweater like that for a while) and the fabric oh and the color. Ok so I love it all, it looks so great on you. Definately something you can wear around town or hanging out at home. I definately need to try something like this

I love it! The raglan I did earlier this year was in Cashsoft as well, and it is great. The funny thing is that I had planned to do the same button band you used and then changed course. I love the button band - now I'm going to have to make a second! Can't wait to see the pattern. And BTW, you look great in all of the pictures. xox,

Your tubular cast-on is...brilliant! Having struggled with this technique for many hours, I am impressed. It really looks good and adds a lot to the whole very lovely jumper.

i have those buttons!! i have em! and i have some other beatrix potter ones also. the sweater is so cute. one of the things that i hate about sweaters is that the necks choke me, so this one is great and i love the buttons at the neck. really cute! and as usual, you are adorable! too cute!
