Buttons!
Isn’t it marvellous when you can scratch items off your ‘to do’ list without lifting a finger? I admit I’ve been shirking from making a crochet button cover tutorial for the Jess pattern – my usual tactic of procrastinating until the problem goes away.
So imagine my delight to find that Megan has put one together, securing a fond place in my heart forevermore. It’s available for us all to use (no more nearly matching buttons) on the CrochetMe site.

I picked up a crochet hook recently (just for some edging), and I'm a bit smitten with the notion of doing a bit of crochet now and again. Something new to learn. Thanks for the link to the button covers. Good practice.

That's fantastic. I love crocheted button covers. (My husband swears I'm a 90 yr old trapped in a 32 yr old body, what with my quilting and knitting and crochet...)
Anyway, they're awfully cute, and finished off Jess perfectly. And one of these days, I'm going to make one for myself. (And if I don't stop saying that, my To Do list will be longer than my arm!)

Hey,that's great! I just checked out Megan's crocheted tutorial for making button covers. She makes it look even easy for me.

Not apropos of your post, but I was admiring your Nothin' but a T from last year, as my thoughts turn to spring/summer knitting. Might I get a copy of the neckline alteration PDF? I really prefer your neckline to the original pattern... Thanks!

Hello Anna:
Sorry to bother, but I have a question.
I am from Japan and have been doing leatherworking, mainly bagmaking, for over a year.
I have been wanting to improve my skills in patternmaking, and as I was surfing the net, I read your previous blog regarding your attending the short course "Pattern Cutting for Accessories" at London College of Fashion a few years ago.
I am trying to get some opinions and information to decide whether to sign up for the course this summer, and would greatly appreciate if you could give me some advice.
You mentioned that you saw some people from the Fashion Industry, but is the level of the course quite high? Or is it aimed at people of all levels?
What types of patterns are covered in the course? ex.) simple tote bags or more complicated handbags, etc.?
Are the accessories patterns mainly for leather accessories or of other materials?
Thank you very much for your time and I would appreciate it if you could help me out.
If this is too off the topic, please email me directly to my address: shemoaned@hotmail.com
